Hotel Z (Japanese: ホテルZ Hotel Z) is a hotel located in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. Hotel Z was owned by AZ and is where Urbain/Taunie formerly resided and worked. It serves as the player's headquarters during their stay in the city.
Description
Hotel Z sits within a small court located in Vert Sector 8. It stands at seven floors tall, though only two floors and the roof are accessible to the player. A third is mentioned in room designation only, but is inaccessible. The hotel also has a kitchen—also inaccessible to the player—which is used by Urbain/Taunie to prepare croissant curry and by Ansha to bake donuts. Outside its entrance is an open area where battles can take place, surrounded by trees, shrubs, and other buildings. The hotel's walls are lined with plant growth.
According to AZ, he named the building "Hotel Z" as he intended it to be his final place of living.[1] The player stays in Room 202 of Hotel Z. Urbain/Taunie stays in Room 201, Naveen stays in Room 203, Lida stays in Room 204, and Korrina stays in Room 301.
First floor (lobby)
The first floor is the lobby of the hotel. In front of the entrance is the reception area, where AZ can be spoken to from behind the desk. The hotel's elevator can also be found here, providing access to the second floor and roof.
To the right of the entrance is a seating area, containing a fireplace and an assortment of armchairs and couches. Books belonging to AZ are placed on a bookshelf here. Members of Team MZ often congregate here.
Within the seating area is a doorway leading to Team MZ's strategy meeting room. The meeting room contains a large table with six chairs. Its walls are littered with framed photos and paintings, as well as the Team MZ flag hanging prominently in the back. In addition to strategy meetings, this room is also used for eating meals.
In the Mega Dimension DLC, during Side Mission 120: "Donuts of Unworldly Deliciousness!," the reception area is permanently converted into the shop Ansha's Donuts, where the player can use berries in order to make donuts.
Second floor
The second floor is a hallway providing access to four hotel rooms. Chairs and other furniture are scattered along the walls, and both ends of the hall have a large window. Each room contains the same furniture and general layout, in addition to its tenant's own possessions.

Room 202 (the player's room)
Room 202 contains a bed, a desk, a dresser, and a lamp. Two armchairs surround an end table, and water and other amenities rest atop a chest of drawers. The player can advance time by resting in the bed until morning or nightfall. On the desks are a couple of books, a journal, a lamp, and a large flower vase. Beside the dresser, the player's travel bag sits on a stand. Several paintings and a mirror hang on the walls. In addition to the exit, the room contains one other door, which is unopenable.
If the player collects and returns all Colorful Screws in Lumiose City to the Colorful Screw Exchange person outside of Racine Construction, they will receive a giant Canari plush decoration that sits in the corner of the room.
After the credits of the game, AZ will leave a Poké Ball containing a Lucario in this room.
Room 203 is littered with fabric and clothing made by Naveen. A sewing machine sits on the desk, and various sketches and sewing tools are found on the end table. Boxes filled with vintage clothing collected by Naveen are piled against the walls. The autographed Canari plush given to Naveen after completing Main Mission 14: "Reaching Rank E" is placed on a nightstand.
Room 204 (Lida's room)
In Room 204, the armchairs and end table have been pushed to the side of the room, likely to create more room for dance practice. A rolled up workout mat leans against an armchair, and a full-length mirror for checking out dance moves is propped up against the wall. Multiple sports drinks are seen throughout the room. Two big bags stuffed with large amounts of clothing sit on the floor, and postcards sent from the Hoenn region rest upon a nightstand.
Third floor
The third floor is inaccessible to the player. Korrina stays in Room 301 on this floor.
Roof
The roof of the hotel is a small space providing a scenic view of Lumiose City, as well as the mountains surrounding it. Prism Tower can be prominently seen from the rooftop. Two armchairs sit around a fire pit, and a couch is placed on the other side of the roof, with a coffee table in front of it. Many planters containing a variety of flowers are found on the rooftop.
During Hyperspace Mission 12: "The Greatest Gift," the emerald distortion can be found and entered from the roof of Hotel Z. After completing this mission, Korrina can be found on the roof.

Team MZ discovers this wild Gulpin that arrived in the "strategy meeting room" from Hyperspace Lumiose after completing Hyperspace Mission #04: Le Musée et le Café. After allowing it to live in the hotel, the player can feed it unneeded donuts in exchange for Berries, as demonstrated in Side Mission #147: Our Gluttonous Gulpin.
